Audi has confirmed UK pricing for its new A2 e-tron, with the electric hatchback going on sale now and deliveries scheduled to begin at the start of next year. Billed as the most efficient electric Audi built to date, the A2 arrives with a broad lineup: three battery sizes, four trim levels, and a maximum range of 397 miles.
Entry-level pricing starts at £32,200 for a 170hp Technik model fitted with the 52kWh battery. Both the 52kWh and 61kWh battery versions qualify for the Government's £1,500 Electric Car Grant. Technik trim includes 18-inch wheels, MMI navigation plus, heated front seats and LED lighting. Stepping up to Sport spec costs an additional £2,600 and adds 19-inch wheels, Digital Key functionality, rear USB charging points and bidirectional charging ability. A 170hp Sport model costs £34,800 before the grant, while a 190hp Sport, which comes paired with the larger 61kWh battery, is priced at £36,500.

The more powerful variants are expected to prove the most popular, offering greater range and quicker charging alongside similar efficiency figures. The 170hp car manages up to 261 miles of range, 100kW charging and efficiency of up to 4.5 miles per kWh. The 231hp version steps up to an 84kWh battery, delivering up to 397 miles of range, 4.41 miles per kWh and 183kW charging, along with a 0-62mph time nearly two seconds quicker. That version starts at £41,450 in Sport trim.
S line trim is available across the range for a further £2,600 on top of Sport pricing, or as the base specification on the 326hp flagship. It brings 19-inch matt black wheels, S line bumpers, a black styling pack, sports seats and a three-spoke steering wheel. On the 326hp model, S line also introduces progressive steering and suspension with damper control. Sitting at the top is Edition 1, featuring 20-inch wheels, Matrix LED headlights, electric seats, acoustic glass and ambient lighting, priced at £48,350 with 231hp or £50,880 with 326hp.

By comparison, the Cupra Born VZ, which shares significant underpinnings with the Audi, costs £45,995, while a 326hp A2 S line comes in at £46,500. Kia's EV3 GT, offering 292hp, is priced at £48,695.
Audi UK Director Jos Miguel Aparicio said the A2 e-tron represents "the embodiment of efficiency, not only through its advanced energy management, but across every aspect of its design and development," highlighting its aerodynamics, interior packaging and sustainable production methods as key to meeting rising demand among Audi's UK customers.
