Vauxhall has reached a significant milestone in its electrification journey, surpassing 100,000 battery electric vehicle sales in the UK. The landmark sale was a Grandland Electric 213PS Ultimate, delivered through Drive Vauxhall Nuneaton.
As of October 2026, Vauxhall has sold 102,852 electric vehicles across the country. The brand first hit 10,000 EV sales in 2021, before reaching 50,000 just two years later in 2023 — a tenfold rise in customer demand over the period.
Vauxhall's electric story stretches back to 2011, when the Ampera became the brand's first EV. The Corsa followed suit in 2019, with the original Corsa-e offering a 50kWh battery, 136hp and up to 209 miles of range under WLTP testing. The current Corsa Electric has since improved on this, now featuring a 51kWh battery, 156hp and a range of 265 miles.

By 2024, Vauxhall had fulfilled its pledge to electrify its entire passenger car line-up, offering electric versions across all eight models in its range. That same push saw the launch of the Frontera Electric and Frontera Hybrid at identical list prices, removing the usual cost gap between electric and combustion versions of the same model for the first time in the UK market.
The Mokka Electric remains Vauxhall's top-selling EV, having notched up more than 26,000 sales since it launched in 2020. The Corsa Electric trails closely behind with over 23,000 sales since the same year.

Alongside its vehicle line-up, Vauxhall has also worked to support charging infrastructure through its Electric Streets of Britain campaign, launched in 2023. The initiative lets drivers register demand for on-street charging points in their local area, helping to map out where infrastructure is most needed nationwide.
Eurig Druce, Vauxhall Managing Director and Stellantis UK Group Managing Director, said passing 100,000 EV sales marked a major achievement for the brand. "From the revolutionary Ampera to today's fully electrified car and van range, we have remained a champion of electric vehicles, and our focus is to continue making electric mobility more accessible and attainable for British drivers and businesses," he said.
Druce added that the milestone reflected wider progress in bringing EVs into the mainstream, citing the Electric Streets of Britain campaign, the brand's equal pricing strategy, its fully electrified range, and UK-built electric vans as examples of how Vauxhall is helping customers switch to electric with confidence.
