Ferrari F80 Turns Heads in Dallas With Color-Shifting Blue-to-Green Paint

A new Ferrari F80 has touched down in Dallas, Texas, sporting a finish so striking it seems to change personality with every passing cloud. The hypercar, one of just 799 examples Ferrari plans to build, was spotted by car-spotting account Collin County Cars wearing a custom paint job that shifts between deep blue, near-black, and vivid green depending on the angle and the light.

Photos shared by the spotter show the glossy, almost liquid-looking exterior transforming dramatically from one shot to the next — at times reading as a moody midnight blue, at others flashing emerald green as sunlight catches the bodywork. Black wheels and contrasting trim details round out the look, giving the car a futuristic edge that breaks sharply from the fire-engine red most commonly associated with Ferrari. The exact name of the custom shade hasn't been revealed, but its chameleon-like effect makes this particular F80 instantly recognizable.

Beyond the paintwork, the F80 backs up its showstopping looks with serious performance credentials. Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 paired with a hybrid electric system, together producing a combined 1,200 metric horsepower. Ferrari states the car can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.15 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 mph. The F80 also draws on technology developed through Ferrari's racing programs, with aerodynamics engineered to maximize downforce and keep the car planted at high speed, making it one of the most advanced road cars the Italian marque has ever produced.

Unveiled in October 2024, the F80 represents Ferrari's newest flagship hypercar, joining the lineage of legendary limited-run models like the F40, Enzo, and LaFerrari. With only 799 units set to be built and a starting price around $3.9 million, each delivery draws attention — and a customer choosing such an unusual, mood-shifting finish only adds to the intrigue.

Between its jaw-dropping performance figures and a paint job that refuses to look the same twice, this F80's arrival in Dallas has already made it one of the city's most talked-about automotive sightings. It's a fitting introduction for a car built to stand out even among the rarest supercars on the road.
