Lamborghini Unveils Fenomeno Roadster, Its Most Powerful Convertible Ever

Lamborghini has pulled the roof off its limited-edition Fenomeno, creating an open-top supercar that becomes the most powerful convertible the brand has ever built. The Fenomeno Roadster joins the Revuelto-based "few-off" lineup and will be even more exclusive than its hardtop sibling, with production capped at just 15 units compared to the coupe's 29.

Like the coupe that debuted last year, the Roadster is built around Lamborghini's flagship Revuelto platform but features extensive unique styling and engineering rather than simply being a chopped-top version of the standard car. It wears a predominantly blue paint scheme that pays homage to the 1968 Miura Roadster, finished with red accents celebrating Bologna, the city near Lamborghini's Sant'Agata headquarters.

Despite losing its roof, Lamborghini says the Fenomeno Roadster retains aerodynamic performance nearly identical to the coupe. A redesigned windscreen incorporates a carbon spoiler that channels air over the cabin and down into the engine bay, cooling both the V12 engine and the carbon-ceramic brakes. An active rear spoiler and oversized diffuser round out the aero package. To maintain the car's sharp lines, engineers hid the anti-roll bars inside carbon structures positioned behind the seats.

The Roadster shares its two-tone 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels with the coupe, wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires developed specifically for this model. Manually adjustable, race-derived shock absorbers let owners fine-tune ride height.

Performance figures show only a minor drop-off from the coupe. The Fenomeno Roadster still sprints to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds and hits 124 mph in 6.8 seconds, just a tenth of a second behind the fixed-roof version. Top speed exceeds 211 mph, roughly 6 mph shy of the coupe's maximum.

Power comes from the same plug-in hybrid setup found in the coupe: a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 paired with three electric motors, producing a combined 1,065 horsepower. That output makes it the most powerful roadster Lamborghini has ever produced. The car can also run briefly on electric power alone, though the standard Revuelto's EPA rating of just five miles of EV range suggests any silent driving will be short-lived.

Lamborghini hasn't disclosed an official weight figure, though the Roadster is likely slightly heavier than the coupe's 3,906-pound dry weight due to added structural reinforcement. Pricing also remains unannounced, but given the standard 2026 Revuelto starts around $608,000, the Fenomeno Roadster is expected to command a steep premium.

The model continues Lamborghini's "few-off" tradition launched in 2007 with the Reventon, which later produced icons like the Veneno, Centenario, and Sian. At least one more new Lamborghini model is expected to arrive before the end of the year.
