Man Charged After Crashing Into Lamborghini Then Found Eating Chinese Meal at Wheel

A man has been charged after allegedly crashing into a Lamborghini and later being found tucking into a Chinese takeaway behind the wheel of his own car.

Tejan Shiaka, 50, of Empire Way, Wembley, has been accused of failing to provide a specimen for analysis following the incident in Queens Avenue, Bicester, on Saturday, October 17.

According to Thames Valley Police, the Lamborghini's driver had stopped to exchange details with the other motorist, who was driving a Mercedes, after the collision. However, officers allege the Mercedes driver left the scene before police arrived, though his registration number was noted down at the time.

Police say they then used their camera network to trace the vehicle and track down the driver. Officers reportedly spotted the Mercedes being driven erratically in the middle of the road, which the force said posed a "significant risk" to other road users.

When officers eventually stopped the car, they allege they found the driver eating a Chinese meal "with cutlery" as he sat behind the wheel. He was removed from the vehicle and arrested on suspicion of driving while over the prescribed alcohol limit.

While in custody, he was further arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a specimen for analysis. Shiaka has now been formally charged with one count of failing to provide a specimen for analysis as a vehicle driver in connection with Saturday's incident.

He has been released on unconditional bail and is due to appear before Oxford Magistrates' Court on December 22, where the case will be heard.
